It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Or just the wettest of times?
Hiking the Himalayas, we felt like REAL trekkers: hauling our possessions on our back, finding suitable bush toilets, picking leeches off our ankles, staying cheerful despite the rain and physical/mental challenges. Sure, the positivity was a struggle at times, but with the help of each other (and Nelson’s hilarious complaints), we were all able to make it through.
Tough? Yes. But we are tougher. And our ability to climb up (and down) countless steps in the shadows of the Himalayas has made that more clear to us than ever. Speaking of clear, the skies weren’t. Though the mountains chose to not reveal their peaks, we still managed to laugh, mafia, and trip our way through its lush green hills.
In the words of Eva, “We hiked an inch!”

We leave you with this quote:
“There are infinite reasons to love the mountains. Dynamic, raw, often uncomfortable, yet completely authentic. Even with scarce oxygen, they breathe life into my very being.”
