A Hope for Every Flag from Your NePALS

We your leaders, Megan and Ady, have been having a great time at the Barn these past few days—laughing and exploring and getting so excited to meet each and every one of you.

Ady has been speaking of honey lemon ginger refreshments, relaxing in the shadows of Nepal’s beautiful stupas, dodging leopards (a long story we’ll share with you!), and the wonderful energy of the Nepali people, which has gotten Meg all heart-eye-emoji. Meg dreams of the mountains and the quiet and the community that we’ll build together. The only thing missing is YOU ALL. And Nepal…

TWO WEEKS, BABY!

Hope you’re packing your parka!!!! (JK, it’s gonna be hot)

As we prepare our hearts for the journey ahead, we wanted to share a few hopes of ours, inspired by the flittering and colorful prayer flags that decorate so many of the streets we’ll be walking together.

The Red Flag – वृद्धि – GROWTH

For us, the red flag symbolizes growth and going deeper. It is our hope that you’ll intentionally explore your goals, values, and beliefs on the trip, so you can get to know yourself better.

The Yellow Flag – आनन्द – JOY

The yellow flag is all the good times and happiness we will share; it is a powerful emotion and we can’t wait to delight in our surroundings together. There’s boundless joy for us all to find in Nepal.

The Green Flag – आमा प्रकृति – MOTHER NATURE

We’re going to be in the HIMALAYAS! This is a chance for us to appreciate the beautiful landscapes of our planet and how we are a part of all the things that surround us. Mother Nature calls us to become one with her.

The Blue Flag – साहस – COURAGE

We want all of you to feel courageous and do things you haven’t done before. You’ve already exhibited bravery in your willingness to visit such a different part of the world. Let’s build on that and continue to actively strrreeeeeeetttch our comfort zones.

The Blue Flag – समुदाय – COMMUNITY

There are so many exciting communities we will be privileged to enter during our trip. With each other, with a new part of the world, with monks, with Buddhists, with locals, with children, with goats, with yourself, with our global family at large. How can we, as a family, give our best selves to these new communities? We can’t wait to find out.

Taken by your rad leader Ady. Seriously, he’s so rad.

Nepal or BUST

Conquering mountains, changing lives, sharing laughter with new friends, trying new things, admiring devout monks, creating new experiences. ARE YOU READY?

Peace, love, and momos,

Megan & Ady
